Digital tools, technologies, and applications have the potential to transform the ways historians do their work. In this class, we explored the ways these can change our current intellectual, professional, and personal landscapes. We took a look at history through the lenses of text, place, and image.
We explored, analyzed, debated, and critiqued the ways in which technology has transformed (and is continually transforming) work in these areas of history by learning a variety of tools and technologies. We went on to investigate ways to present, publish, and disseminate history research in its many forms.
By the end of the semester, the students created their own digital research project that engaged with one of the class themes.
