LEADR10

LEADR turns 10 this academic year (2024-2025) and we are celebrating in our own digital fashion! Please stay tuned for regular updates about the events schedule and our “Built Heritage Challenge” – we are looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with.

Our opening celebration was a great success!

Thank you to all who came out to see what LEADR has been up to for these past 10 years. Chair of the History Department Michael Stamm opened our celebration with some remarks about the current happenings in the space and thoughts about our future. Founder and former chair of the History Department, Walter Hawthorne followed up with a short history of the space itself (which used to be a very large storage room) that has since been turned into a wonderful lively and collaborative space for a community of digital practitioners. You can find out more about the history of LEADR here in a 2016 Perspectives article. Interim Director Gillian Macdonald closed the opening remarks with some project highlights by graduate students and undergraduate classes that have been very successful over the years and announced the Built Heritage Challenge.
